Enhanced Signaling descriptor [ATSC Semantics]

The Enhanced Signaling descriptor identifies the method of terrestrial broadcast transmission (main, one-half -rate, one-quarter rate)21 of a program element. When a program element is an alternative to another program element, the descriptor is Linked to the alternative and indicates the broadcaster’s preference.

The Enhanced Signaling Descriptor may be included in either descriptor loop in the Program Map table structure.
